Christmas is Not a Time
A Course in Miracles (ACIM) teaches that Christmas is not a time, Christmas is a state of mind. It says:
“The sign of Christmas is a star, a light in darkness. See it not outside yourself, but shining in the Heaven within, and accept it as the sign the time of Christ has come”.
This is an invitation to each and every one of us to find the Christ mind in us. We must see beyond our sense of solitary individuality, see through the ego-created world of time and space and find the ONE light of spirit within.
The foundation of ACIM is social; we awaken together in the practice of forgiveness. We consciously extend love in our hearts to every brother and sister, seeing every ‘wrong’ action on their part as simply a call for love. We look beyond their bodies’ eyes and their behavior to the light in them; it is the same light that’s in you. We are all an extension of God’s Mind, the Mind of Love.
God wants to work a miracle in you so that God’s son is born in you. There was only ever one begotten son, one Christ and we are all it. When the son is born in us, we transform our consciousness. With the recognition of the Christ in us, new energies come about, energies that help to heal the sick in us, to raise the dead in us.
So Christmas is a time of connecting, of opening to spirit, to co-creating with God and receiving this state of Christ consciousness. Miraculously, our lives become transformed; we know ourselves as the human actualized as the divine; we are the embodiment of Love.
